caSpring arrives today with most of the county experiencing warmer weather but Environment Canadas senior climatologist said were not out of the woods yet as snowfall could be around the corner. Warmer weather could bring floods mudslides. Dave Phillips says people from coast to coast have already been experiencing spring or summer weather. But he said in the Yukon and Northwest Territories spring has sprung. However Phillips had a warning for people thinking that all cold weather has ended. As spring like conditions continue to melt away snow anxiety is rising for some people in neighbourhoods that are flood prone. Dawn McKay of Mcminniman Court was at the meeting to hear what city officials are saying about the situation this year. McKay says they raised the house four feet and made a number of other changes to the house to prepare for a future flood.
