The fallout from the Mueller report has yet to push Republican candidates into the 2020 presidential race. Although many expected the Mueller report to be a political game changer that pushed more GOP contenders to challenge President Donald Trump in the 2020 election former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld remains the only Republican that has entered the race. He claims that there are some Republicans that have become more vocal in private about GOP tension following the release of the report. When McMullen was asked if the Mueller report could drive other candidates to enter the race he said that he is hopeful. Conversely believes that there isnt much of a chance the Mueller report will push Republicans on the sidelines into the race. The Mueller team collected enough evidence to charge Trump with obstruction of justice and Trump would most likely be under indictment right now if he were not a sitting president according to a Friday report by Murray Waas in the New York Review of Books. Waas spoke to two Justice Department officials who confirmed they were told this information personally by two prosecutors on Muellers team. In Barrs initial summary of the Mueller Report to Congress which he wrote without consulting Mueller Barr took it upon himself to conclude that the evidence did not merit a criminal charge against Trump for obstructing justice. I hope you can let this go Oval Office meeting. And the evidence is so overwhelming that Muellers team thought it merited indicting Trump for a serious federal crime
