Apple Recalls Some 15 Inch Macbook Pros For Battery Overheating Issues

Apple has issued a voluntary recall for certain MacBook Pro laptops containing a battery that might overheat and pose a safety risk the company said on Thursday. No other MacBook laptops are affected by this voluntary recall. Apple this morning announced a voluntary recall of MacBook Pro batteries due to potential overheating and safety risk. The recall only applies to mid inch MacBook Pros with Retina displays. The recall program has no impact on the laptops warranties one way or the other. Affected batteries may overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Customers are being asked to stop using affected MacBook Pro units until they can take steps to have their batteries replaced following Apples instructions. Batteries will be replaced free of charge. The recall is yet another hardware flub from Apple which has previously dealt with serious problems in its iPhone batteries and in the latest Macbook laptop keyboards. this isnt the first time apple has dealt with a hardware fiasco
